UBC Supply Management and the Campus Sustainability Office are excited to introduce you to a new pilot program at the UBC Point Grey campus: reuse-it! UBC reuse-it! UBC, launched March 7, 2011, is a one year pilot program designed to help UBC employees, like you, find and exchange low-value items between departments at UBC Point Grey (e.g. furniture, audio-visual equipment, office supplies, etc.). Registered members can post both wanted and available listings. This program builds on the spirit of the Surplus Equipment Recycling Facility (SERF), UBC’s former program for reuse on campus. The goals of this pilot program are: To build a culture of reuse at UBC via an online, easy-to-use platform To prevent reusable UBC assets from entering the landfill To help UBC save money via reduced tipping fees and avoided costs associated with new purchases To educate members about other waste saving programs and initiatives available at UBC via the online Recyclopedia Please note: The 2011 pilot phase is targeted to UBC employees at the Point Grey Campus. You must have an @ubc.ca, @exchange.ubc.ca, @interchange.ubc.ca, @dept.ubc.ca email account to sign in.
